Hood Filter Exchange Service

Kitchen Hoods Express offers a weekly and monthly filter exchange program. It’s simple:

  • We pick up your dirty filters.
  • We install factory cleaned new filters.
  • We clean the dirty and repeat.

Our customers immediately realize savings in labor cost. The kitchen staff can focus on preparing food rather than cleaning filters.

Leave the cleaning to the professionals, call us today and start saving tomorrow.

Make Up Air Filters

The make up air system begins with the filters. This system replaces the grease-laden-vapor filled air being sucked out of your kitchen with fresh, clean air. The first stage of the make up air system is the filter. Filters come in many types, but they all do essentially the same thing – clean the air of dirt, insects and debris before it enters your clean restaurant kitchen.
Over time, your filters will become clogged. That’s why Kitchen Hoods Express cleans your make up air filters with every kitchen hood cleaning service. Eventually your filters will be worn out and need to be replaced. We can provide you with a new set of filters including installation.

Kitchen Exhaust Filter Replacement

Your kitchen hood filters are the first line of defense against fires and flame ups. Using only UL-listed filters ensures you are meeting NFPA 96 standards. We can help you assess your current filters’ condition and recommend replacements.

Filters are made of three types of metal:

  • Aluminum – we call these temporary filters because you will be replacing them every two years or so. They are cheap — not inexpensive, but cheap. We typically don’t recommend these filters to our customers.
  • Galvanized Steel – The best choice for kitchens not visible to the guests. These are heavy strong filters designed to last a very long time. They will discolor due to oxidation when exposed to cleaning chemicals.
  • Stainless Steel – these are the best, and most expensive. They clean to a beautiful shine. Because stainless steel is denser it absorbs more heat and allows more grease laden vapors to be caught in the baffles and drained, keeping your ducts and roof fans cleaner longer.
